I recently visited a cool interior design shop that’s tucked away in the residential area of the Baarsjes called Store Without A Home. Its a fun semi permanent pop-up shop that is also partly a design gallery. Young designers are able to showcase their work as well as established international labels. I particularly love the drawing below by Manja van der Storm and all the fun fabrics by Marimekko. The store is located on Cabotstraat 1.

The Dutch are known for having incredible apple pie and I am convinced that I have found the best apple pie in Amsterdam. Cafe Winkel serves real Dutch appeltaart everyday of the week in the Jordaan neighborhood. It is so popular that there is usually a line out the door on the weekends all year round. I have been in Amsterdam for only 2 months now and I have probably been there about 8 times. It is that scrumptious. Make sure to get slagroom (whipped cream) and a coffee or mint tea with it. I haven’t found an official website but they are located on Noordermarkt 43.
