A pretty cool two-day music festival in The Hague called Walk the Line is happening this weekend on Friday May 14 and Saturday May 15. Over 40 acts including AVI Buffalo, Bonobo, War Paint, Sleigh Bells will be performing in the city center in various squares, cafes, and clubs. I also love the festival’s web design. Tickets are 25 euros for a day pass and 40 euros for the whole event.
Yay! Dr. Dog one of my favorite bands at the moment will be coming to Amsterdam and playing at Paradiso on Tuesday May 25. I highly recommend this show, they are really great live! Show only costs 10 euros, doors open at 21.00. Get your tickets here.
indie band Deerhunter (Atlanta, Georgia) and Bachelorette (New Zealand) will be performing at Club Trouw on May 11. Costs 15 euros. Doors open at 20.00, show starts at 21.00.
Hey yall, I made an Amsterdam playlist titled The Dam Jams for everyone to enjoy. There’s no theme, just random songs I really like listening to right now in Amsterdam. If you’re into Die Antwoord, Chaka Khan, or Bone Thug you might enjoy it!
Of course it’s already sold out but many of my friends have found it pretty easy to scalp tickets in this city soooo maybe you can snag some tickets for MGMT and Zombie Zombie, performing at the Melkweg March 28.
Swedish indie band Shout Out Louds are coming to Paradiso on April 20. I have seen them a couple of times and they sound really beautiful live. Tickets are 13 euros and seem to be selling out fast. Get your tickets here.
Amsterdam Acoustics is a really cool music video website where they film “intimate acoustic sessions with Amsterdam as a filmic background.” Reminds me of Vincent Moon’s Takeaway shows. Here are two of my favorites.
