It’s Maangchi Time!

Most of my friends and family are aware of my love of Korean food and my latest obsession with learning how to cook from my fav chef Maangchi.  I discovered her cooking videos over a year ago when I got sick of not having access to any affordable Korean restaurants in the city and needed to feed my kimichi addiction. Since then, I’ve gotten a whole group of Amsterdammers hooked on Korean cuisine by throwing dinner parties with Maangchi recipes. Next month, my ultimate gastranomic dream is turning into reality  because Maangchi is flying to Amsterdam and cooking on my houseboat! She has started a food show project where she is traveling around the world to cook and I’m lucky enough to be a part of her show. I’m so excited! Of course it’s already sold out but many of my friends have found it pretty easy to scalp tickets in this city soooo maybe you can snag some tickets for MGMT and Zombie Zombie, performing at the Melkweg March 28.

Beach House and Tune-Yards at Paradiso

Beach house and Tune-Yards are performing tomorrow night at Paradiso. Saw Tune-Yards here back in September opening for Dirty Projectors. She was amazing. Doors open at 22.00 and it costs 10 euros. More info here.
